Off to Oxford

Oxford, England, has been home to some of history's greatest minds, including countless religious leaders, politicians, writers, and scientists who have transformed the world. I have the privilege to participate in this rich educational tradition by studying under renowned Oxford professors for two weeks through the Iowa Voyagers' Odyssey to Oxford program. I look forward to this experience, along with strolling the gardens of Arundel Castle and Hughenden Manor, viewing the Rosetta Stone at London’s British Museum, and visiting the beautiful college town that inspired Alice in Wonderland, The Chronicles of Narnia, and The Lord of the Rings.

A few nights from now, I'll be dreaming in the city of dreaming spires. Watch out, Oxford...here I come!

  1. Hi Shelbi -- Glad to hear things are going well! Interesting comment about the absence of billboards on English highways. I wish we had that regulation in the U.S.! It would make drives a lot prettier. - Diane B.
